The Achievement Foundation awards grants to deserving nonprofit organizations in advancement of its mission to provide education about the free enterprise system to young people.
During the 2008-2009 fiscal year the Achievement Foundation awarded $165,000 in grants to deserving nonprofit organizations in advancement of its mission to provide education about the free enterprise system to young people.
The Achievement Foundation will give preference to those Junior Achievement areas with one or more students who have applied for the Joseph Francomano Scholarship during the preceding academic year. If a JA area is selected to receive a grant but did not have a Francomano scholarship application in the past year, the Foundation will then predicate the grant upon their commitment to have at least one student from their area send in an application for the Joseph Francomano Scholarship.
The deadlines for grant applications to be considered are February 28th and August 31st of each year.
